Founded in early 20224, OAISIS exists to support individuals working at the frontier of AI who wish to flag risks in a safe and legal manner. For the sake of those upright individuals and because we want to see incentives shift towards consistently responsible development of AI.
We support individuals and organziations who share these values.
OAISIS is an independent non-profit project currently hosted under Whistleblower Netzwerk e.V., one of the oldest whistleblower support non-profits globally and a member of the Whistleblower International Network (WIN).
OAISIS is lead by Karl Koch and Maximilian Nebl, former tech entrepreneurs with a background in AI safety and open source development.

Karl has been involved in the responsible AI since 2016, when he first worked as a volunteer researcher at the Future of Humanity Institute.
He has since worked as a management consultant and started a SaaS business, which was acquired in 2023.
Since then, he has moved his focus back to what he considers one of the most important challenges in the world today: Ensuring that AI is built for the benefit of all.
Role at Oaisis:
Everything that is not Tech/ Cyber-/Info-/Opsec.
Sebastian works in the hospitality industry with a start up and management background.
Max is a computer programmer, engineer, tinkerer, and open-source enthusiast. During his professional career he's repeatedly been exposed to cyber and system security. Ranging from Engineer & QA Leadership positions in Fintech companies to CTO Roles in the logistics technology space.
Max has implemented AI during software development projects and believes in a future that leverages AI.
He wants to help bring about a future in which artificial intelligence is developed in a secure and privacy conscious way.
Role at Oaisis:
Everything around cyber- & operational security as well as providing the technology that the organization requires.
Ege is a SaaS entrepreneur living in Berlin.
Kosmas Zittel is Managing Director of the Whistelblower Netzwerk e.V. - German’s longest standing non-profit in the space, advising concerned individuals since 2006.
